Greetings! Cricket Lovers Rajput Samaj provided the shock result of the weekend by ending Sri Lankan Cavaliers unbeaten run. Sri Lankan Cavaliers were all out for 111. Rajput Samaj were held in check as Damit Bandra took 4-18, however they passed the SLC score with 2 wickets intact and 3 overs to spare.

Kondor's Sachin Patel made 60 in their total of 156 against Lankians, however this was not enough as Lankians got home with 5 balls to spare. Embassy warmed up to their cup final appearance with a 92 run win over West Harrow. Embassy amassed 281-3 in 40 overs thus setting West Harrow a target of more than 7 an over which they failed to match.

In division two, both Neasden and Bharat Olympians won again. Neasden were restricted to 139 as Muktajivan bowlers Rasik Varsani 5-31 and, Pramod Khokhrai 3-24 made the most of the weather conditions. Tight bowling by Neasden bowlers allowed Jaimin Patel (4-40) to take advantage as Muktajivan fell 9 short of their target. Laurence Dingre 4-20 of Bharat Olympians took 4-20 as United Sports were restricted to 160. Bharat Olympians led by Sunil Patel (58) were made to work for their victory as they got home with 1 ball to spare. Dharmaj's Sandeep Bhanushali made 98 in their total of 156 against Welldon with Ramya Udadhyay 4-27 taking the bowling honors. Hoshang Noria (81 not out) was the only player to provide any real contribution to the Welldon cause as they fell 18 runs short of the target.

Youth Wing set EKTA a target of 178 to win with useful contributions from Amesh Patel (62no) and Hemant Patel (48). EKTA were restricted to despite Sojal Chaudhary chipping in with 52. Vishal Ladhani (76) and Waaris Deen (61) led Lohana to 280-9 against Regency; Padmanabhan Venkataraman made 89 in Regency's response of 186. Amit Kumar (5-17) gave Young Puthoharis the upper hand as Shivam lost 7 wickets for under 100 runs; however Kalapi Magan marshaled the late order to allow Shivam to finish on 139. Young Puthoharis were never allowed to settle as Shivam took wickets at regular intervals thus bowling out Young Puthoharis for 117. Sayona defeated South Harrow by 3 wickets in a low scoring game

In the 2nd XI competition Ashish Narendra made 112no in 92 balls in DIU Community of Southall's 185 against Baladia Youth Club. DIU were bowled out for 149. Neasden II maintained their 100% record by shooting out Welldon II for 36 with Sagar Patel 6-14 and Bhupendra Patel 2-17 taking centre stage; Neasden reached their goal easily. Rajput Samaj II defeated United Sports II by 8 wickets.

The MPCL Cup & Plate finals will be played on bank holiday Sunday 24th August (11.00 start) at the Metopolitan Police Bushey Sports Ground, Aldenham Road. Bushey, Herts, WD23 2TR. In the cup final, Embassy will play Lankians, whilst the plate competition will be contested between Dharmaj and Neasden.
