NINA WADIA

Nina WadiaBorn in Bombay in 1969, Wadia is an accomplished actress of Parsi descent. She is best known for her portrayal of various characters in the BBC sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, (everyone remembers with great affection her portrayal of Mrs “I can make it at home for nothing!”). Wadia has also made several notable guest appearances in various British comedies and dramas, such as 2point4 Children, The Vicar of Dibley, Thin Ice Chambers, Holby City, Murder in Mind and Doctors.

Wadia is not only a great comedy actress. Her film credits include playing a wedding guest in the comedy film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) while her radio work includes guesting on Parsons and Naylor’s Pull-Out Sections, as well as regular appearances in the BBC World Service soap opera Westway. She is also a regular presenter on the ITV topical chat show, Loose Women.

Since July 2007 she has been appearing in EastEnders as Mrs Masood the Albert Square Post Office mistress. Most recently, Wadia has appeared in the E4 teen Comedy/Drama Skins.
