rapper UK Apache and The Kalyan feat. Gubsy (on Dhol and electric
Tabla) and Steve (Guitar) and Anila (Samplers & Mix) live. Theyll

1928 classic silent film 'Shiraz' has been given a new lease of life
as the renowned Sabri Ensemble create a specially commissioned score,
to be performed live at this years Lichfield Festival on 10
July. Set in the Mughal Empire during the 17th century, Shiraz tells
of the powerful romance which inspired the building of the Taj Mahal.

is due to begin his first European tour this July. Already a big hit
in the States, the American Embassy is touring Kareem to select cities
in Europe. Many consider Kareem somewhat unusual in the country music

OF LONDON FESTIVAL CELEBRATES INDIA, 20 JUNE - 10 JULY |

year's City of London Festival will take place from 20 June to 10
July 2008 and welcomes five Indian classical master artists. Sarod
player Amjad Ali Khan, soprano Patricia Rozario, vocalist Ajoy Chakrabarty,
flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and tabla player Zakir Hussain
will all perform.
