'A Golden Era', Indian Painting Tradition for the Royal Ateliers features the work of five miniaturists: Ghanshyam Nimbuk, Mohanlal Soni, Naina Kumari, Ramesh Sharma and Navneeth Parekh. Curated by Anita Chowdry and Anita Kapur, Chowdury will also be holding workshop demonstrations on Wednesday 16 November and Saturday 19 November.

ABOUT ANITA CHOWDRY

Anita Chowdry is a practising artist and illustrator with twenty year's experience in teaching art. Indo-Persian miniature painting has been her passion throughout. Besides doing research in Britain on pigments and techniques, she has also maintained a long association with the late Ved Pal Sharma - Bannu and his family, master painters based in India.

ABOUT ANITA KAPUR.

Anita Kapur commissions the best of the craftsmen - painters of Rajasthan to create themed exhibitions of Indian miniature paintings that she holds in Britain, Europe and in the US. Her first exhibition held at the Commonwealth Institute 23 years was a the beginning of a journey which has provided her with unique insight into the working practices of traditionally trained practitioners of an art form that stretches back hundreds of years.
