21st 2010. Chadha tells the story of Mrs Sethi, a serial curry killer
whose match-making efforts turn deadly when she tries to marry off
her daughter, Roopi. A dramatic police hunt for the murderer begins
in Southall as Mrs Sethi’s race to find a husband for her daughter
continues.

Jaya Bachchan honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award |
Bollywood
star Jaya Bachchan was last night honoured with a Lifetime Achievement
Award at the ‘Tongues on Fire’ London Asian Film Festival
2010 at BAFTA, London. The star, who was visibly moved by the accolade,
thanked Dr Pushpinder Chowdhry, Founder of the festival and award
presenter Lady Kishwar Desai. 'Tongues
on Fire’ is celebrating the actress’ work through a special
‘Jaya Bachchan Retrospective’ from 5-14 March 2010 in
London.

R Rahman hopes to replicate 'Slumdog' success with new Tamil movie |
'Slumdog
Millionaire' composer, Indian music maestro A R Rahman, hopes to replicate
his Oscar-winning success with a collaboration with director Gautham
Vasudev Menon in the Tamil film 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa' ("Will
you come to me, from across the sky?"). The soundtrack to the
forthcoming film was previewed at a reception at BAFTA in London.

Johnson backs plans for new film centre and pledges £5m |
London
Mayor, Boris Johnson today announced £5m funding for the proposed
new BFI National Film Centre in the capital. The London Development
Agency (LDA) has already invested £900,000 in this project by
supporting the BFI's business case and feasibility study for their
new film centre. The LDA will be investing a further £5million
over the next four years to match the investment made by the Department
of Culture Media and Sport.

Award-winning
director, Gurinder Chadha's next feature film 'It's A Wonderful Afterlife'
has started filming in London. The supernatural comedy about an Indian
mother who takes her obsession with marriage into frighteningly funny
territory debuts newcomer Goldy Notay. Chadha, who is well-known for
discovering new talent has also signed up Sendhil Ramamurthy, fresh
from the success of TV show 'Heroes'.

in Ealing, West London to teach talented individuals who wish to pursue

The UK School will be the first overseas chapter of 'Actor Prepares'
to open outside of India.
