Match report 11th September

Bharat Olympians completed the cup and league double after retaining the divisional title despite losing to Neasden. Gnunam Arjuna made 63 for Neasden in their comfortable 4 wicket win against Bharat Olympians. Indiana who had to win to have a chance of taking the title had their game against Anson washed out. Lankians secured a 10 wicket win against local rivals West Harrow with Suranga Daluwatta making 56no (including 2 sixes and 8 fours) as they managed to score the required runs in 6 overs. Sri Lankan Cavaliers were comfortable winners against Welldon by 6 wickets as Farouk Nihar made 51.

 

Rajput Samaj won the division 2 title, however they failed to maintain their undefeated league run as they went down to Shivam by 6 wickets. Imran Ismail turned in his most impressive bowling figures of the season with 5-10 for United Sports against Youth Wing as the former moved into the second spot to clinch promotion. In division 3, Rajput Samaj II and Jaguar both won promotion with the former as champions. Bharat Damania made 49 and took 3-29 for Rajput Samaj II in their comfortable 6 wicket win over Jaguar. Lohana's Aakash Patel made 110 in their victory over Kondor.

In division 4, South Harrow won the divisional title after defeating Friends United in their final game of the season. South Harrow batting strength allowed them to post 304 for 9 in 40 overs with Imran Jamadar 87, Chaminda Kuruppu 75 and Mihir Shah 54 all making useful contributions. Imran and Chaminda shared an opening partnership of 138 in 17.4 overs; South Harrow's innings included 10 sixes and 26 fours. Friends United were unable to match the run rate as playing conditions deteriorated, however they made 237 to gain 9 points to secure promotion in their first league season. Sejil Ramniclal 53 and Nivmal Ramgi 44 were the back bone of the Friends United reply. Expatriates II secured a 181 run win over the Muktajivan II with the most notable performance coming from Thushyanthan Yoganathan (75).
