FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 30 NOVEMBER 2006

INDIAN INSPIRED 'WINTER BAZAAR' EVENTS IN MIDDLESEX
Saturday 9 December and Sunday 10 December 2006

Two enterprising Asian women - Lopa Patel, founder of TheRedHotShop.com, Britain's premier ethnic goods retailer online, and Neesha Patel of new jewellery line 'Raaga' - are organising 'Winter Bazaar' events this December to celebrate fashion's love affair with Indian inspired clothing and ethnic jewellery.

On Saturday 9 December, the 'Winter Bazaar' will be held at the Imada Club in Pinner and on Sunday 10 December at the newly launched 'Pixicku' in Edgware, Middlesex. Admission to both events is free of charge.

"The Indian traditional crafts of hand embroidery, appliqué work, beading, batik and tie dye are really what make TheRedHotShop.com brands stand out," explains Lopa. "Add to that a love of intricate prints, luxurious fabrics and ornate embellishments and it's easy to see how the Indian 'love affair' started."

Quality is a key cornerstone for the businesses, which launched just two years ago. "A major focus on manufacturing quality and fast service is really what makes my customers come back to me time and again," Lopa adds.

TheRedHotShop.com already offers a full online and telephone ordering with goods sent from stock within 24-48 hours.

Colours for this winter's wardrobe from TheRedHotShop.com are rich reds, passionate purples, deep greens and chocolate browns - Patel has eschewed the uniform 'greys' of the high street. Fabrics include thick cotton jersey, corduroy, tweed, velvet, silk and pashmina cashmere (a word derived from Kashmir).

"Accessories and colour are the basis of fashion today," according to the Patels. In order to move with the times, Neesha set up 'Raaga' to express her creative flair and launch her own line of 'fashion jewellery'. Raaga jewellery can be described as simple pieces hand strung on ribbon, cord and copper wire. "The virtue of the copper wire is that it has a metallic sheer subtlety to it, without being garish or shiny," says Neesha. The colours range from greens to blues and purples, browns to reds and oranges and the universal silver and bronze.

Both businesses have been the 'secret' behind many of the wardrobes of London's professional women. "I do get a lot of people ringing me up wanting to buy something special to wear for an office party or birthday dinner," adds Lopa. "For a special dinner or office party, I always recommend Rohit Bal, India's hottest designer. I have some of his sensational crinkle silk skirts and lycra jersey tops which are just fabulous for a Christmas party."

Lopa also stocks hand crafted items from Fair Trade suppliers such as Namaste, Nomads and Native by Native and major ethnic brands including Uttam. She has recently launched a girls' wear range, suitable for ages two to 10 years, from Uttam Kids in hot pinks, fuchsias, lilacs and tie-dye, which will be available at the 'Winter Bazaar' events this December.
